Siderophore outer membrane transporter: Yersiniabactin, Pyochelin

This composite part is useful to create siderophor-uptake testing strains. For any antimicrobial testing strategy targetting bacteria that utilize Yersiniabactin or Pyochelin for their iron-metabolism. Be that siderophore antibiotic shuttles or shuttles for toxic ions.

Additionally this part can be used to characterize the iron uptake of pathogens by attaching fluorescent staining mechanisms to the siderophores.

Including varying promoters a testing strain that includes this part is able to be induced for two different siderophore tests.
